Our First International Festival, Partnering With New Rock City International Music Festival At The Legendary Crossroads Venue, New Jersey, USA

This all day event will bring the legacy of the UK punk and 'DIY rock scene' to America for the first time, spotlighting British artists in tandem with the raw energy of the US pop punk scene and the energy of Puerto Rican pop punks, Hoping Forever joining the bill. The venue is the legendary Crossroads, which has been a significant cultural music hotspot for nearly three decades, hosting the likes of Gaslight Anthem, Thursday and Frank Turner.

New Rock City: The Brits Are Coming is about the UK and USA music scenes joining forces to shine a spotlight on independent artists from across the world. New Rock City Founder, Stephen Moss said “I founded this International Festival in 2022 and it is entirely independent and self-funded, a true grassroots movement. The goal was to create a worldwide platform for bands to access new audiences regardless of their streaming numbers. We will be back in the UK in July but it feels wonderful to be able to bring the festival home to Jersey for the very first time, bringing UK music industry support with us thanks to Sonar Presents.”

Suitable for all ages, this show promises a high-energy afternoon and evening, giving support to independent musicians, a grassroot music movement and a legendary venue, plus come and meet the Sonar Presents team in person as we make the trip across the pond!

Sonar Presents Live: Tony Moore's AWAKE

From Iron Maiden to Cutting Crew, Tony Moore brings his electrifying concept album, AWAKE to The Tunnels in Frome!

Tony Moore’s musical journey has been anything but ordinary. Originally from Bristol, he set off in the late 70s to join Iron Maiden as their keyboard player in the early days of the band. From there, his career took him through a wide range of musical adventures, always driven by a deep passion for song-writing, performing, and pushing creative boundaries.

In the early 80s, Tony formed Radio Java, a band built around his songwriting, signing to Carrere Records and recording an album at Abbey Road Studios. The single "Fool" became a radio hit in late 1983. In 1986, he joined Cutting Crew as their keyboard player, with their smash hit “(I Just) Died in Your Arms Tonight” taking the world by storm. Touring alongside artists like Huey Lewis, Starship, and The Bangles, he experienced first hand the intensity of global success, performing and broadcasting to audiences of millions.

Beyond performing, Tony has played a key role in supporting artists and in 2004, was inducted into the Music Managers Forum for his outstanding contribution to British music.

Most recently, Tony has been touring his one-man show, AWAKE—an immersive audio-visual experience featuring original music with influences from Pink Floyd, Genesis, and David Bowie.

To celebrate Frome Festival's 25th Anniversary, Tony Moore returns to his West Country roots, with an emotive audio-visual concept album, to delight fans of progressive rock.
